More capacity and more clearance in the working envelope…the Unicom 7000 is all about achieving more productivity for larger components. Like its brother – the Unicom 6000 – this multi-task portal machine delivers the output without sacrificing the quality. What makes it different from the 6000 is that the standard configuration includes a vertical carousel station and pallet changer, and allows for much bigger pallet sizes. With fewer setups and shorter lead times, this extremely accurate machine is a favourite for taking on big work pieces in high output manufacturing.

Short lead times
Today, even large components often have to be produced in ever-shorter lead times. The Unicom 7000 is our most adaptable and functional multi-tasking cnc machine. It not only removes large quantities of steel very quickly, but its pallet loading stations allow setup to take place during the machining cycle, which raises productivity further. The combined operation results in short lead times, without any concessions in turning and milling capacity.
Reliable processing
With its two-stage gearbox drive for milling and turning, this CNC machine achieves high torque and high rotational speed. The machine’s ram with its turning tool adapter allows ‘plunging’ into the part as well as the use of short, stable tools. And the in-process measuring probe, which ensures reliable processing of tight fits, saves time.
Repeatable accuracy
The Unicom 7000 has an in-process measuring probe, which functions without needing a tool change. This also means that repeatability of the setup station can be guaranteed to a few microns. What’s more, even higher accuracies in end products are achieved since there are fewer machining setups to start with. For convenience, there is just one tooling system in the whole machine for the turning and milling operations. And for safety, there’s a fully enclosed cabin.
