First chips produced on new UNIPORT7000
Bouman Machinefabriek has successfully put its new Unisign portal CNC machine into operation, with the first chips now produced. This marks the second Unisign installation for the Almelo-based machine builder, further strengthening a partnership that dates back to 2004.
From UNIPORT6000 to 7000: a significant step forward
Since 2004, Bouman is using a UNIPORT6000 in their machining operations. With the addition of the UNIPORT7000, the company takes a clear step forward in machining capacity and flexibility.
The new machine significantly expands the working envelope, enabling Bouman to efficiently process larger and more complex components, while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.
Machine specifications: X=12000 Y=4500 Z=1600, fitted with a stepless C- and A-axis machining head.

The UNIPORT7000 is a highly flexible portal CNC machining centre designed for large workpieces and demanding applications. Its travelling bridge design combined with a stationary table ensures excellent accessibility and stability.

– Large working range: X-axis up to 24.000+ mm, Y-axis up to 6.500 mm, Z-axis 1.600 mm
– 5-sided and optional 5-axis machining, reducing setups and improving efficiency
– High rigidity “box-in-box” construction, ensuring stable and accurate production
– Powerful spindle options up to 73 kW with high torque for heavy-duty machining
– Large tool capacity (up to 330 tools) and fast tool change (approx. 10 seconds)
– Short changeover times and high productivity due to integrated tooling and accessible machine bed
Thanks to its modular configuration—including various machining heads and optional carousel turning station —the UNIPORT7000 is suitable for a wide range of industries and applications.
