The machining and clamping expert
As truck front axles become lighter to reduce fuel consumption, ensuring stability and accuracy during clamping is more critical than ever. At Unisign’s Innovation Department, we closely follow developments in the truck industry. With years of experience, we’ve gained valuable insight into what works—and what doesn’t. This expertise is precisely what led to the development of the UNITWIN CNC machine and special clamping fixtures.
Tension-free clamping
Modern front axles are not only lighter and more flexible but still require significant cutting forces during machining. This makes the process highly complex. The key to success lies in tension-free clamping, which directly impacts product quality and machining precision. Unisign is one of the few companies with complete mastery of this process.
Standards and specials
The UNITWIN CNC machine is equipped with a hydraulically activated fixture for clamping front axle beams, featuring exchangeable support pads for positioning the front axle beam on the central body part and near the kingpin bosses (with spring pads facing downward). The spring pads remain accessible for drilling, tapping, reaming, and face milling. In addition to the standard clamping fixtures, we have also developed a dedicated clamping unit for front axles differing in design from the standard/regular axles.
